MARCH 2018

Dear Saddleback Families,

Welcome Back from Spring Break!  I hope everyone had an enjoyable week off with your students. Now that we are back in the swing of things, we must begin preparing for all of our end of the year events.  The most important event being our standardized testing. 4th grade students will begin testing Tuesday, March 27th. It is imperative that all students are present.  The following weeks, April 2nd - 20th will be AZMerit testing for all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.  Please do your best not to make doctor's appointments or schedule family trips during this time.  All students must be tested.

Upon the completion of AZMerit testing, all students will take our standardized District assessment. The School City district assessment schedule will be sent home soon.  Both end of the year standardized assessments (AZMerit and School City) gauge each student's mastery of grade level content in reading, writing ,mathematics, and science.

Your child’s academic growth and success is of the upmost importance to our staff. Please communicate frequently with your child's teacher as we prepare for the upcoming State and District assessments.

As always, we will end the school year in May with numerous fun activities.  Field Day, Water Day, and our Annual Talent Show are just a few events that students look forward to participating in.  Please remember that good behavior and attendance are imperative for students to participate in the annual end of the year events.  Flyers will be sent home with specific dates as we get closer to the month of May.

Be sure to mark down  other important dates referenced in the newsletter.  Thank you so much for your support throughout the school year.

Mrs. Williams, Principal
